In just three years, the CPBN Media Lab has impacted the lives of over 300 Connecticut children and young adults.

Groups benefiting have included middle school students with our Future Producers Academy and keynote address on the art of the interview at UConn’s Torrington campus, to high school students with our Impact Academy, our PBS NewsHour Student Reporting Labs and our narrative storytelling keynote presentation for the Preserving Our Histories of WWII documentary program at CCSU, to our college undergraduate and graduate intern program in the CPBN Media Lab.

Graduates of the CPBN Media Lab have gone on to Journalism School in London, the Masters of Arts in Journalism program at Hofstra University, and as reporters for the Torrington Register Citizen and the Journal Inquirer.

The CPBN Media Lab has collaborated twice with Anthony Griffin and his Affecting New Thoughts Business Concepts program. The CPBN Media Lab created Media 101, an intensive life skills course with media concentration for Hartford area high school students this summer and developed and delivered a seven week course for Young Entrepreneurs to Hartford area high school students.

Whether we are in studio, in the media lab or on location, the CPBN Media Lab is the source for life skills and media training.
